Department of Specialised Subjects and Practical Skills

The Practical Skills Center (PSC) was first opened in the year 2011. Its mission is to facilitate practical skill education for the students of both the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Medical Faculty of Palacký University. PSC is financially supported by the Education for Competitiveness Operational Programme (ECOP) project Modernization of Teaching Practical Skills to Students of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medical Faculty Students of Palacký University (ref.number CZ.1.07/2.2.00/07.0091); the PSC teaching facilities were established thanks to the financial support of the University Hospital Olomouc. Financial support from the ECOP project helped with the purchase of new modern aids, technologies and other expenses including the staff. PSC is also used by University Hospital Olomouc employees for various events and trainings.

The center is a service facility of the Faculty of Health Sciences. It unites the teaching staff and professionals in pre-clinical, theoretical, and clinical fields that guarantee the education of all study programs at Faculty of Health Sciences. The research activities of the staff are based on their professional field.
